Happy February friends! I’ve decided to do a little giveaway each month here on the blog. Sometimes it will be related to the goings on of that month and sometimes it’ll be just because. Because who doesn’t like a present? I know I love a present! THIS month, since it’s the loooove month with Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought I’d give away my very favorite love story of all time. Gone With the Wind {talking about the book} is an epic, consuming love story set in the civil-war era of Georgia. It is both a beautifully written novel and a fantastic look at the history of Southern culture. Although we all know how it ends, my heart still flutters every time I read it, hoping that Scarlett will come to her senses and realize how much Rhett loves her.
Side note, although this is my favorite book, I did not actually name my son after Rhett Butler. We just loved the name. In fact, Jake had no idea who Rhett Butler was! He’s a Yankee, he can’t help it… Second side note, one of my friends just had a baby named Scarlett! Can you say fantastic costumes and photo ops for years to come?!?!
